Role Overview
Develop and optimize scalable data systems supporting high-volume applications and analytics workflows, with a focus on database architecture, performance, and data processing.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database architectures primarily using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse technologies.
- Design efficient schemas, indexing approaches, and storage strategies to ensure optimal performance at scale.
- Create, analyze, and fine-tune advanced SQL queries within performance-critical environments.
- Handle large and complex datasets, applying best practices for partitioning, structuring, and long-term maintainability.
- Support the development and operation of ETL and ELT processes working with both structured and semi-structured data sources.
- Monitor database reliability, performance indicators, and system health, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and product stakeholders to transform functional needs into technical implementations.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of database development standards.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation related to data models, workflows, and system architecture.
- Help automate recurring operational and maintenance activities.

Requirements
- Hands-on professional experience in database development or a similar role.
- Strong expertise working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, including performance optimization and query tuning techniques.
- Experience operating within data-intensive or performance-sensitive systems.
- Solid understanding of database architecture principles, normalization concepts, and indexing methodologies.
- Familiarity with data warehousing practices and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Basic scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, or comparable languages).
- Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
