DevOps Engineer
Role Overview
On behalf of a product-focused technology company, we are seeking a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the evolution of a modern cloud platform supporting business-critical applications and services. This position focuses on infrastructure automation, platform reliability, deployment optimization, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving software delivery processes, enhancing system resilience, and ensuring production environments remain secure, scalable, and highly available. The role offers exposure to cloud-native technologies, containerized platforms, and large-scale production environments while working closely with software engineering, QA, and product teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and enhance infrastructure solutions that support the scalability and reliability of production systems.
- Automate deployment, provisioning, and operational processes to improve engineering efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks for consistent environment management.
- Manage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms across multiple environments.
- Build and optimize CI/CD workflows that enable safe and predictable software releases.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and availability, implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruption.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to long-term reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes and operational practices.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities that improve platform visibility.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.
- Contribute to security, compliance, and operational governance initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-based environments in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing automated delivery pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management approaches.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience supporting business-critical systems with high availability requirements.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability concepts within distributed environments.
- Scripting and automation experience using languages such as Bash or Python.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, traffic management, and infrastructure security principles.
- Experience working with relational databases, including troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Ability to work effectively across technical teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Bonus / Nice to Have
- Experience operating high-traffic online platforms or transaction-heavy systems.
- Exposure to microservices and cloud-native application architectures.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems and distributed messaging technologies.
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, or similar data and messaging platforms.
- Understanding of platform observability, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing multi-region or geographically distributed environments.
