Role Overview

A Senior Java Software Engineer role focused on building and maintaining integrations between complex software platforms. The position combines backend development, system integration, and collaboration across engineering and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret technical integration specifications and partner documentation.
  • Design and configure integration workflows and system mappings.
  • Develop and enhance backend services supporting communication between multiple platforms.
  • Participate in the implementation of new integrations and feature enhancements.
  • Create and maintain automated integration and end-to-end tests.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams during deployment and release activities.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting existing integrations.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Ensure software quality, performance, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience developing backend applications with Java.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and REST-based services.
  • Proven experience building and supporting distributed or service-oriented systems.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, or similar database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or equivalent persistence technologies.
  • Experience creating automated tests, including unit, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Familiarity with modern build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Practical experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and convert them into scalable software solutions.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working on integration-heavy products or enterprise platforms.
  • Exposure to high-volume transactional environments.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems, asynchronous processing, or event-driven architectures.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Experience collaborating closely with infrastructure and platform engineering teams.
