Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help build and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient production platforms. The role combines infrastructure engineering, automation, observability, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on improving system reliability and supporting modern cloud-native environments. This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys automating repetitive tasks, enhancing platform stability, and working closely with development teams to ensure reliable software delivery.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure and production environments.
  • Improve the availability, performance, and resilience of applications and platform services.
  • Develop automation solutions that simplify infrastructure management and operational processes.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure proactive incident detection and system visibility.
  • Support software delivery by maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
  • Develop scripts and automation utilities using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term reliability improvements.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, responding to critical production issues when required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to improve system reliability, deployment processes, and operational best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong Linux administration skills and experience supporting production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Zabbix, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with centralized logging solutions, including ELK Stack, Fluent Bit, Fluentd, or equivalent tools.
  • Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Puppet, or similar.
  • Experience working with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Chef, or equivalent automation platforms.
  • Ability to automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive approach to improving platform stability.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized microservices environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and container orchestration concepts.
  • Experience with Go or additional scripting/programming languages.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
